ACCESS 2 NETWORKS - SHIVA VPN TECHNICAL TRAINING
This course introduces the participant to the Shiva LanRover VPN product suite, providing the information and experience necessary to deploy and manage your VPN environment. Hands-on exercises provide the students valuable practice in a lab with a highly experience instructor.

Technical persons tasked with the support, installation, deployment or administration of the Shiva LanRover VPN including;
  • System administrators

Course Objectives:

Upon completing this training course, participants will be able to:

  • Basic configuration of VPN
  • Configure of Firewall Rules
  • Configure Site-to-Site Tunnels (using IPSec and SST)
  • Configure Remote Access Tunnels (using IPSec and SST)
  • Configure Extra-net Tunnels
  • Configure Certificate Authority for authentication of tunnels
  • Configure RADIUS Server for authentication of tunnels
  • Configure load balancing and redundancy

Pre-requisites:
 

  • Knowledge of inter networking concepts
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, network addressing, and subnet masks
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts and topologies
  • Understanding of the OSI model

  • Firewall Theory (LanRover) 
  • X.509 Certificate Authority Theory and RADIUS authentication
